Currently Crushing On // Etsy Edition

Lately I've been working harder than ever on my Etsy shop. That being said, all the time I've been spending on Etsy, I have wandered down the Etsy rabbit hole a time or two and found some things that I am currently swooning over and wanted to share.
(Which Should Look Familiar)
And that rounds out my current top 10 Etsy crushes. Do you have anything you've had all the heart eyed emoji's for? I'd love to see!

Doggy Adoption Day!

A year ago today, Sam and I went to an adoption event thrown by our favorite Dachshund rescue (Dachshund Rescue of Los Angeles). As we walked out the door to head to the event, I stopped and turned to Sam and told him "We are just going to look. We are NOT getting a dog today." Fast forward to about 4 minutes into the event and this happens.
Needless to say, we came home with two dogs that day.
They had been called Ariel and Olaf since their rescue from the shelter but those names just weren't "them". The day we got them also happened to be the day "The X-Files" returned to television after almost 15 years off the air. We knew it was a sign to name them Scully and Mulder.

They have been such a wonderful addition to our lives. There's nothing quite like coming home every day to a wagging tail. Sure, sometimes they pee in the house when it's raining (they are dachshunds after all), or I catch them with one of my slippers in their mouths, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Happy Adoption Day my loves!

Crafts & Cocktails!

This year I decided to do something different for my birthday. I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I love to host parties. After going back and forth on ideas, I landed on something I can't believe I never thought of before... A Crafts & Cocktails Crafternoon!

As always, I had my girl Erin whip up some SUPER cute invitations.

Using the color scheme from the invitations I found this PERFECT collection of party goods. I mean... is this not to DIY for?? (See what I did there??)
Also using Erin's design, I created these invitation tags (because no invitation is completely without one).
I grabbed some gold and peach yarn from my stash and voila! Invitations are complete!
Lets jump right into the photos shall we??

A great time was had by all! I can't wait to do it again!

So Long 30!

Today is officially my last day as a 30 year old. Year 30 had its setbacks and heartbreaks, but it also had some wonderful moments. Lets look back, shall we?

January

I spent January celebrating my birthday, starting with a dinner at one of my favorite restaurant with all of my favorite people.
Then had a girls weekend in Palm Springs!

We adopted the newest members of the O'Quinn family Scully and Mulder. (I like to joke that Sam is the only non-adopted O'Quinn.)

February

I hosted a fun Galentines day with friends and family.

March

My mother in law and her mother (my grandmother in law) both have the same birthday, so I planned a brunch as well as a paint and wine day. It was SO much fun, I think we should do it again this year!

I WON my fantasy Bachelor league!

April

I worked my first wedding and it was one of the most gorgeous events I have ever been to but also one of the most physically exhausting days of my entire life.

May

May brought Mother's Day and Sam and I were able to host a fun outdoor BBQ. I was able to spend time with some of Sam's family that live out of state. It was such a nice day.
One of the highlights of the year, was our trip to Glen Ivy. Danica, my mom and I took the day off and spent it being pampered. We all want to make it a yearly tradition!
May was also when I started working for the wonderful Jen of SomethingTurquoise.com, it has been so much fun and such a great learning experience. She has been such a great mentor and an even better friend.

June

Unfortunately June took my beautiful grandmother from us. It was a rather sudden and unexpected passing that I don't think any of us have fully grasped yet.
I helped throw a bridal shower for one of my besties.

July

We went to a gorgeous wedding in July.
And we were featured on SomethingTurquoise.com!
I also helped throw my friend Stefana a Totally 90's Bachelorette Party.

August

I got to stand next to Stefana as she said I do to her Mr.
Had another successful ChristmAugust.
And saw my cousin off for her semester abroad in Paris.

 September

Spent Labor Day weekend in Indio with some of my favorites.
And this little nugget turned one!
I went to the best concert of my life. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but it's not. And I have been to a LOT of concerts, but Garth Brooks, HANDS DOWN, was the best concert of my life. I CRIED!

October

October is my month of birthdays, I started by celebrating Stefana's 30th.
Then had a BFF weekend in Palm Springs for Danica's!

 November

In November we went to the first annual Driftwood Country Music and Craft Beer festival. It was SO much fun, I can't wait for next year!
I hosted Thanksgiving breakfast and the table turned out better than I had hoped!
I managed to plan a surprise anniversary trip to San Fran for Sam and I. I even convinced his family to splurge on an early Christmas gift and get him some Raider tickets!

December

In December I met with one of my birth mom's childhood best friends. She shared photos and stories. We spent several hours getting to know each other and she was able to tell me things about my birth mom an her family that I otherwise wouldn't have know. It was such a great day.

And we had a wonderful Christmas!

 January

Now it's already January again and it's time for another birthday! I can't wait to share photos from the party but here is a sneak peak at the invites in the meantime!

Another exciting thing that happened this year was, I really focused on my Etsy shop (finally), and had the most successful year since its inception (back in 2010)! I look forward to growing it even more this year!
And I think that's all! It has been a whirlwind of a year and even tho it had some setbacks, I also had some of the best moments of my life. Bring it on 31!
